This is the Unified Implementation of the CVRIA - Regional Scale. It includes 7 layer 2 diagrams and one layer 0 diagram. - Various validation checking for enterprise and physical rules - Information flows can be characterized as using a given data distribution system. This results in not showing data distribution elements on layer 2 diagrams, but a flag on the name of an i-flow (d) that indicates a data distribution system is "in the middle" for that flow. This helps keep layer 2 diagrams simpler, and focuses them on the application. When a layer 0 or layer 1 diagram is built that uses this layer 2 as a source, the data distribution object is shown. - Information flows can be shown in an 'electrical schematic' mode, where multiple flows with the same name that attach to a p-object at the same point can appear as wires on an electrical diagram: one source, multiple destinations and only one label - Built the logic to identify relationships that must exist between stakeholders that have particular roles in your architecture. This uses the CVRIA enterprise view as a model, and maps your stakeholder assignments to the CVRIA enterprise to determine the appropriate relationships. Those relationships appear on the stakeholders coordination output table - Added spatial and time text labels to information flows. See the legend for reference - Removed spatial and time context flags from p-interconnects and a-interconnects - User-defined information flows are now associated with physical objects, so when used as a source for a layer 0 diagram should result in the population of the appropriate p-interconnect. - Added a 'wrap text' feature to the Text tool - Renamed the Nudge tool the Text tool - Fixed various bugs related to project file open/close scenarios - Fixed some connection-point-related bugs - Fixed some issues regarding stencil misbehavior. You can still get yourself in trouble if you intentionally do things to the stencil, so don't do things to the stencil! What's new in v0.3.7.7 - Database synchronization ribbon button that helps keep diagrams in sync with database elements. The first in a long line of architecture validation tools. - Element description population shortcut button that pulls in CVRIA descriptions for element description. Available on the Element Details form - Copy diagram feature added to left menu, enabling the user to create a copy of an existing diagram - New diagram and new item buttons on the diagram tab - Removed the time and spatial context data graphics. This should increase some graphics performance. - Enabled the creation of multiple layer 0 diagrams. Dialog allows selection of whichever layer 2 diagrams you wish to use to build the layer 0. Defaults to all selected. - Added a new version of the Data Distribution diagram, with a new physical object, the Data Distribution System - Made table grids editable What's new in v0.2.6.4 (Enterprise, Terminals) - Beginning enterprise view functionality. Can now add stakeholders, map them to elements, define the roles they play with regard to those elements, produce output summarizing stakeholders and their roles - Evolution of the terminals capability from 0.1.5.7. Automatically generate abbreviations for all elements and p-objects. Viewable on shape properties. Used to populate terminal labels - Output a-interconnects and p-interconnects - Cleaned up the layer 0 and layer 1 diagram creation; p-objects are smaller and no longer overlap. You will still have to do lots of line re-routing though. - Added capability to see traceability between interconnects and information flows, available on the details form. This capability to evolve and become easier to follow - Added ability to set default document directory. Added a few other options related to tabular display and object deletion. Many more option settings in the future... - Auto-sync diagram names with title blocks - Fixed a bug where broadcast flows were incorrectly displayed as encrypted (confidential). Broadcast flows now default to authenticable (signed). - Fixed a bug where initiator status was not being properly reflected in the flow graphics - Assorted other bug fixes related to shape connection points, stencil management, canvas options, performance on comment and text boxes What's new in v0.1.5.7 (Physical Layer 1, Layer 0) - Added a 'terminals' capability, allowing the user to use a p-object alias for drawing information flows between p-objects. Useful for avoiding overlapping flows, and especially for diagrams where one p-object has the same i-flows with many p-objects. This capability will evolve in subsequent versions, and may change. Use at risk. - Added a capability to automatically produce a layer 1 diagram from a group of selected layer 2 diagrams. Layer 1 diagrams illustrate interfaces between application objects, which consolidate information flows between a-objects into a-interconnects. Layer 1 diagrams that are auto-generated are complete but require plenty of user customization to clean them up; objects overlap and flows overlap, but everything is on the diagram. Future versions will clean this up a bit. - Added a capability to automatically produce a layer 0 diagram based on layer 2 diagrams. Similar to layer 1, except that a-interconnects are rolled up into p-interconnects, and no a-objects are shown. Like layer 1 these diagrams will need clean up when generated. - Added a capability to associate multiple elements that are of the same CVRIA object type to a single “element group” that can be used in the Layer 0 diagrams - Added a capability to automatically update the title block on a drawing - Removed all bidirectional information flows and replaced them with two uni-directional flows. Existing projects with bi-directional flows WILL NOT be updated; users will have to do this manually - Added simple printing of what is shown on the canvas (note that export via copy/paste already exists) - Flow text may now be nudged with the arrow keys. Amount of nudge determined from nudge window - Fixed a bug where users Changes on Project Overview were not being saved What's new in v0.0.5.1 (Bug Fixes to Initial Alpha Release Version) - Fixed installation issue for Win 8.1 running Visio 2013 standard version - Fixed a bug that prevented some users from saving their project file - Enhanced error reporting while SET-IT starts up.
