Central Coast ITS Plan

Select To View BrochurePurpose

This “administrative” project website for the Central Coast Regional Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Plan was established to encourage easy access to, and timely review and use of, the documents and project materials by a wide range of project stakeholders.  Project stakeholder feedback was invaluable in developing the ITS Plan and Architecture to ensure it is tailored to the local setting, and the unique needs of the project study area.

TransCore, in association with Iteris and The Robert Group, carried out this work under a contract with the Association of Monterey Bay Area Governments (AMBAG), on behalf of the Central Coast ITS community of stakeholders that includes: the Santa Barbara County Association of Governments (SBCAG), the San Luis Obispo Council of Governments (SLOCOG), the Council of San Benito County Governments (SBCOG), the Transportation Agency for Monterey County (TAMC), the Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission (SCCRTC), the Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District, the Santa Cruz Metropolitan Transit District (SCMTD), Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST), and the California Highway Patrol (CHP) among many others.

The project was conducted in close cooperation with Caltrans, and in close consultation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
