Description
This service package provides enhanced monitoring and management of parking facilities. It assists in the management of parking operations, coordinates with transportation authorities, and supports electronic collection of parking fees. This service package collects current parking status, shares this data with Information Service Providers and Traffic Management, and collects parking fees using the same in–vehicle equipment utilized for electronic toll collection or contact or proximity traveler cards used for electronic payment. The Pittsburgh Parking Authority manages multiple parking garages serving commuters into downtown Pittsburgh as well as parking kiosks serving 'metered' on–street parking, also in downtown Pittsburgh.
