Commercial Vehicle Operations for Virginia CR ITS Architecture
City of Richmond Public Works- Receive and respond to Mayday messages from vehicles and drivers.
- Respond to commercial vehicle and freight equipment related emergencies including incidents involving hazardous materials as well as the detection of non-permitted transport of security sensitive hazmat.
- Send on-board commercial vehicle data to the fleet center.
- Monitor the location and status of commercial vehicles and their cargo using on-board equipment.
- Share traffic information with other traffic management centers.
