Freeway Management for VDOT Staunton District ITS Architecture
• Coordinate incident response with all appropriate cooperating agencies.
• Exchange incident information with the NWRO TOC/ATMS to manage traffic around incidents.
• Exchange road network conditions information to inform decision making in traffic operations.
• Exchange traffic and transit information with a transit management center.
• Monitor and remotely diagnose field equipment issues including detecting failures, issuing problem reports, and tracking the repair or replacement of failed equipment.
