MCV Vehicle Location Tracking
- The maintenance and construction vehicle shall track its current location.
- The maintenance and construction vehicle shall send the time stamped vehicle location to the controlling center.
- The maintenance and construction vehicle shall collect vehicle diagnostics and operating status data from the maintenance vehicle platform including engine temperature, mileage, tire wear, brake wear, belt wear, and other operational status measures as well as the status of maintenance and construction-specific systems on the vehicle.
- The maintenance and construction vehicle shall use the diagnostic and status information to support scheduling vehicle maintenance, monitoring safety status, and informing the vehicle operator of the conditions.
- The maintenance and construction vehicle shall send the vehicle diagnostic and safety information to the controlling maintenance center.
- The maintenance and construction vehicle shall track the location and status of safety systems on-board the vehicle.
- The maintenance and construction vehicle shall respond to dispatch information from the center, presented to the vehicle operator for acknowledgement and returning status.
- The maintenance and construction vehicle shall send operational data to the center including the operational state of the maintenance equipment (e.g., blade up/down, spreader pattern), types and quantities of materials used for construction and maintenance activities, and a record of the actual work performed.
- The maintenance and construction vehicle shall track the location and status of safety systems on-board the vehicle.
- The maintenance and construction vehicle shall respond to dispatch information from the center, presented to the vehicle operator for acknowledgement and returning status.
