The VDOT Hampton Roads TOC is a nerve center of an integrated system of advanced technologies including computer software, traffic cameras, ramp meters. From the Hampton Roads TOC, VDOT monitors and manages traffic, recognizes and responds to incidents, and instantly delivers information to motorists. VDOT Eastern Operations area Traffic Center is responsible for monitoring and managing traffic in Eastern Operations area which includes Hampton Roads and a part of Fredicksburg district area.
