Transit Security - WMATA

Definition:

This market package provides for the physical security of transit passengers and transit vehicle operators. On-board surveillance equipment includes an event recorder system. Some transit stops are planned to be monitored with CCTV surveillance. In addition this market package provides surveillance of transit facilities (e.g., transit yards). If there is a threat on a transit vehicle, then silent alarms can be sent to the transit center and the NOVA Local Public Safety Centers can be notified.
