National Park Service/United States Park Police (NPS/USPP)

Definition:

The United States Park Police is a unit of the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, National Capital Region, with jurisdiction in all National Park Service areas and certain other federal/state lands. NPS owns and polices some major roadways in the Washington metropolitan area, including the Baltimore-Washington Parkway, the Clara Barton Parkway, Memorial Bridge, Rock Creek Parkway, the Suitland Parkway, and the George Washington Memorial Parkway, as well as major portions of Constitution Avenue, Independence Avenue, and other roadways in and around the National Mall in Washington.
