Commercial Vehicle Operations for Virginia SWR ITS Architecture

• Purchase and file credentials, status reporting, tax audit data, and compliance reviews electronically from the appropriate state or federal commercial vehicle administration centers.
• Dispatch commercial vehicles.
• Track commercial vehicle fleet.
• Perform pre-hiring checks and performance monitoring of commercial vehicle drivers.
• Perform reporting on commercial vehicle fleet to state/federal commercial vehicle administration, toll administration, emergency management, and traveler information service providers.

• Respond to commercial vehicle and freight equipment related emergencies including incidents involving hazardous materials as well as the detection of non-permitted transport of security sensitive hazmat.
