Transit Fixed-Route Operations

Definition:

The Transit Fixed-Route Operations service performs vehicle routing and scheduling for the Wichita Transit Operations Center, as well as automatic operator assignment and system monitoring for fixed-route and flexible-route transit services. This service determines current schedule performance using AVL data and provides information displays at the Wichita Transit Operations Center. Static and real time transit data is exchanged with the Wichita Transit Customer Information System where it has the ability to be integrated with other transportation modes (e.g. rail, air) to provide the public with integrated and personalized dynamic schedules.
