Definition:The Sedgwick County Department on Aging Demand Response Transit Operations service performs vehicle routing and scheduling as well as automatic operator assignment and monitoring for the Sedgwick County Transportation Brokerage System demand responsive transit services. In addition, this service performs similar functions to support dynamic features of flexible-route transit services. This package monitors the current status of the Sedgwick County Transportation Brokerage System transit fleet and supports allocation of these fleet resources to service incoming requests for transit service while also considering traffic conditions. The Sedgwick County Transportation Brokerage System provides the necessary data processing and information display to assist the transit operator in making optimal use of the transit fleet.
