Definition:The Wichita Mid-Continent Airport Broadcast Traveler Information collects advisories, general public transportation, parking information, roadway maintenance and construction information, and weather information, and broadly disseminates this information through existing infrastructures and low cost user equipment (e.g., FM subcarrier, cellular data broadcast) to airline patrons. The information may be provided directly to travelers or provided to merchants and other traveler service providers so that they can better inform their customers of travel conditions. Different from the Traffic Information Dissemination service, which provides localized HAR and DMS information capabilities, the Wichita Mid-Continent Airport Broadcast Traveler Information service provides a wide area digital broadcast service.
