Description: These devices are typically located along the roadside and are controlled by operators in the Richmond District which aids them in monitoring and managing conditions. Examples include traffic controllers for the traffic signal system, vehicle detection, and video image detection systems (VID). Some of the District's signals are equipped with VIDs and the remainder use loops. CCTV coverage along primary routes are planned.
