Definition:
The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) operates Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles commercial vehicle check field stations. This includes weigh-in-motion, credential check, and safety inspection/status systems. The Virginia DMV is also responsible for DMV offices, where regulation of commercial vehicles, inspection of personal vehicles, and licensing of drivers occurs.
