CapWIN Executive Leadership Group
Definition:
CapWIN represents a unique collaboration of local, state and Federal agencies from across the National Capital Region (NCR) and beyond to ensure that first responders across jurisdictions and disciplines (police, fire/EMS, transportation) can more effectively communicate and share information to enhance public safety during major events and day-to-day operations. CapWIN's Executive Leadership Group (ELG) is made up of representatives from Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia, and Federal agencies. The governance of CapWIN represents a significant achievement in regional coordination by bringing together multiple transportation and public safety disciplines working together to ensure critical data is shared and operational coordination is taking place amongst the transportation and public safety community.
