Definition:

This element represent the Operations center that operates the terminals of the Port of Virginia in the Hampton Roads area. It is owned and operated by Virginia Port Authority. The port has four existing general cargo terminals-Norfolk International Terminals (NIT), Portsmouth Marine Terminal (PMT), Newport News Marine Terminal (NNMT), and the Virginia Inland Port. The Port of Virginia will have another terminal in the future, Phase I of which will be completed in 2017 and phase II will be completed by 2032.

CV Safety and Security Administration
  1. The center shall notify enforcement agencies of commercial vehicle safety violations by individual commercial vehicles, drivers, or carriers.
  2. The center shall monitor alerting and advisory systems for security alerts and advisories.
CV Information Exchange
  1. The center shall exchange information with roadside check facilities, including credentials and credentials status information, safety status information, daily site activity data, driver records, and citations.
  2. The center shall exchange safety and credentials data among other commercial vehicle administration centers; includes border clearance status, credentials information, credentials status information, driver records, accident reports, and safety status information.
  3. The center shall provide reports to the commercial vehicle fleet manager regarding fleet activity through roadside facilities including accident reports, citations, credentials status information, driver records, and safety status information.
