Roadway Maintenance and Construction - VDOT NOVA District

This market package supports numerous VDOT NOVA services for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and construction on a roadway system or right-of-way. Maintenance services would include landscape maintenance, hazard removal (roadway debris, dead animals), routine maintenance activities (roadway cleaning, grass cutting), and repair and maintenance of both ITS and non-ITS equipment on the roadway (e.g., signs, traffic controllers, traffic detectors, dynamic message signs, traffic signals, CCTV, etc.). Maintenance updates are also provided to centers that may be impacted by these activities (e.g., NOVA Local Public Safety Centers, VDOT NOVA Safety Service Patrol, VDOT NOVA STC, Virginia State Police and the Virginia State Police). This information will allow those centers to better route vehicles to incident scenes and adjust signal timings when appropriate.
