FDOT District 6 Snake Creek Drawbridge

Status: Existing

Description: Snake Creek Bridge is a single–leaf bascule bridge carrying the Overseas Highway (US 1) over Snake Creek, connecting Plantation Key and Windley Key. It is located near mile marker 86. The bridge is owned by the Florida Department of Transportation but managed by the Coast Guard, which has a sector station on Snake Creek. The bridge tender is contracted by FDOT. The bridge is opened once per hour, if needed.
