Pittsburgh International Airport (PIA)

Status: Existing

Description

The Greater Pittsburgh International Airport is a major regional transportation hub operated by the Allegheny County Airport Authority (ACAA). PIA provides flight and other information for airport customers and traveler information – road conditions, incidents, traffic/expected delays, weather, and travel alerts for 'ground–departures'. They also provide airport status information for man–made or natural disasters/events. Through ACAA they manage/provide parking information for arriving customers. ACAA manages the construction and maintenance of the airport facility (especially important during winter snow events), as well as other emergency/disaster response as needed.
