VDOT Local Traffic Operations Centers

Status: Existing

Description: This element represents all of the TOCs in VA besides the regional TOCs (Hampton Roads TOC, Staunton TOC, Salem TOC, Richmond TOC and PSTOC). This element represents traffic management centers that provide traffic control and surveillance for specialized transportation structures such as Hampton Roads Bridge–Tunnel, Monitor–Merrimac Memorial Bridge–Tunnel, Downtown Tunnel & Midtown Tunnel. Each tunnel has its own system that provides traffic control, surveillance, incident detection, and traffic information dissemination.
