Description: The Virginia DOT Statewide Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) is a centralized, web–based system that provides a statewide platform supporting traffic management across Virginia. The ATMS is used in each of the Traffic Operations Centers (TOC). The ATMS provides access and control of traffic cameras, lane control strategies, ramp meters, reversible control gates, and HOV lane restrictions. Using the ATMS, district traffic operators monitor and manage traffic, recognize and respond to incidents, and deliver information to motorists.
