VDOT Statewide ATMS

Description: The Virginia DOT Statewide Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) is a centralized, web–based system that provides a statewide platform supporting traffic management across VDOT's five operating regions (Northern, Eastern, Central, Northwest, and Southwest). The ATMS is used in each of the regional Traffic Operations Centers (TOC). The ATMS provides access and control of traffic cameras, lane control strategies, ramp meters, reversible control gates, and HOV lane restrictions. Using the ATMS, regional traffic operators monitor and manage traffic, recognize and respond to incidents, and deliver information to motorists.
