This market package represents the Virginia Statewide ATIS Clearinghouse and Media Centers using information obtained from the VDOT NOVA STC, VDOT NOVA STSS, and NOVA Local Signal Centers regarding traffic conditions, advisories, incident information, roadway maintenance and construction information, air quality and weather information, and broadly disseminates this information through existing infrastructures and low cost user equipment (e.g., FM subcarrier, cellular data broadcast). The information may be provided directly to travelers or provided to merchants and other traveler service providers so that they can better inform their customers of travel conditions.
