• 511 is responsible to provide an initial alert message when a traveler phones in to the 511 system.

• KBI is responsible for issuing amber alerts and other advisories.

• The media is responsible for broadcasting alerts and advisories through their various dissemination channels.

• The National Weather Service is responsible of issuing weather warnings and watches.
