    Electronic Toll Collection for Wichita Area
    • Kansas Turnpike Authority is responsible for lifting toll payments during extreme events, such as natural disasters and mass evacuations are required.
    • Kansas Turnpike Authority is responsible for managing the electronic toll collection process and detecting and processing violations of motorist that go through a toll plaza without paying.

    Emergency Management for Wichita Area
    • Kansas Turnpike Authority is responsible for addressing incidents, disasters, security threats, or any event that will cause a disruption to traffic flow on the turnpike and requires their assistance.

    Incident Management for Wichita Area
    • Kansas Turnpike Authority is responsible for sharing incident related information with KDOT, Sedgwick County, and the City of Wichita in coordination activities.
    • Kansas Turnpike Authority is responsible for assisting in restoring traffic back to its pre-incident condition.
    • Kansas Turnpike Authority is reponsible for addressing incidents, disasters, security threats, or any event that will cause a disruption to traffic flow on the turnpike and requires their assistance.
    • Kansas Turnpike Authority is responsible for providing incident information to the traffic management and public safety agencies in the Wichita Area detected by patrol vehicles or motorist call-ins.

    Maintenance and Construction for Wichita Area
    • Kansas Turnpike Authority (KTA) is responsible for using the environmental sensors to access roadway conditions and make determinations as to what corrective actions are warranted.
