transportation_data_for_geographic_distribution
This data flow is sent to the Provide Driver and Traveler Services function from any number of sources of transportation related information in order to be provided to travelers within certain geographic boundaries or situations. A situation might be for all travelers heading westbound on the freeway over the next 4 hours. The data includes traveler information products including information from media outlets, traffic agencies, private data collectors, transit agencies, maintenance and construction agencies, parking operators, event promoters, weather services and travel services (e.g. yellow pages service) providers. This data is intended to be distributed using traveler information websites, in-vehicle signing, direct communications to travelers, etc. This data would actually consists of one or more collections of data items each of which would be defined in their own DDE.
