2.8.4.3: Manage Border Inspection

This process shall provide the administration for the border inspection function. The process shall communicate the status of border clearance or a shipment to the intermodal customer, distribution and logistics management provider, or fleet. The process shall interface with the Border Inspection System functions of performing the inspection as well as providing security for the border area. The process shall provide a summary of border activity to the data archive function.
