3.6: Support Ad Hoc Vehicle Messaging

This process shall support any connected vehicle messaging capability that are based on the exchange of data from a vehicle based device (e.g., onboard equipment) with other vehicles, other mobile devices, roadside equipment, and centers. This process shall support an ad hoc messaging capability whereby vehicle-based applications communicate data in a proprietary format to a pre-defined backoffice entity.
This process shall provide a mechanism for vehicles to receive ad-hoc messages from specific backoffice entities. This process shall provide a mechanism for vehicles to identify the backoffice applications they will receive messages from.
