Project Description: This project would install bike detection to allow for bicyclist to be detected at the stop bar of a traffic signal.

Project Functional Requirements (Element - Functional Object):

• City of Sarasota TMC - TMC Basic Surveillance
• 1: The center shall monitor, analyze, and store traffic sensor data (speed, volume, occupancy) collected from field elements under remote control of the center.


• City of Sarasota Traffic Control Equipment - Roadway Basic Surveillance
• 1: The field element shall collect, process, digitize, and send traffic sensor data (speed, volume, and occupancy) to the center for further analysis and storage, under center control.


• City of Sarasota Traffic Control Equipment - Roadway Passive Monitoring
• 1: The field element shall collect, process, and send data to the center to uniquely identify passing vehicles in order to support travel time measurement
