FDOT State Safety Office

Description: The FDOT State Safety Office is responsible for continually improving the safety of users of Florida's highway system, the safety of Department employees, and the Department's preparation for, response to, and recovery from natural and man–made emergencies. Users includes motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists.

The FDOT State Safety Office mission is to continually improve the safety of Florida's traveling public and FDOT employees. The Safety Office works with communities to identify and help resolve traffic safety issues. They gather, analyze and report data on traffic crashes, injuries and fatalities in Florida. They distribute federal traffic safety funds. The Safety Office conducts traffic safety public education campaigns.
