10.7.3: Distribute Map Updates
This process shall manage the distribution of updates to the maps used by the transportation systems in the region. This process shall accept and manage subscriptions to map updates. This process shall send map data to field equipment, e.g. roadside equipment to support field operations and to pass along to equipped vehicles. This process shall also support wide area wireless distribution of map data directly to equipped vehicles and personal information devices. Vehicle and Personal map updates shall include road configurations, intersection geometry for a specified region, and parking facility data. This process shall provide parking facilities with detailed map updates of parking lots to support parking management operations.
