6.5.10: Coordinate Operational Strategies
This process shall take the data inputs from each of the operational centers in a region or transportation corridor. Using the current conditions of traffic flow, incidents, transit capacity and schedule adherence along with environmental and weather conditions, this process shall devise a set of operational strategies in order to maintain balance in the region or corridor between traffic demand and safe transport for people and goods. This process shall interface with the system operator to present the conditions and the options. Operator inputs shall be used to determine strategies to be provided to the other centers.
