6.8.3.5: Provide Traveler Transit Services Interface
This process shall handle requests from a traveler for Transit Connection Protection, either prior to a trip or while enroute and onboard a transit vehicle, or other transit specific services, e.g. special needs required. This process shall handle requests for transit connection protection and forward them on to the appropriate process - either an onboard or center based process. This process shall provide the traveler with the responses - including the scope of the protection, whether it is available for their particular route/trip, and for how long the vehicle will wait for them. This process shall provide requests that include the overall trip, including the final destination and the connections requested. This process will be updated upon request from the traveler or upon receipt of new information from the Manage Transit function.
