Roles and Responsibilities:

Emergency Management for Wichita Area
• Wichita Area Public Safety Agencies are responsible for making the Wichita Area aware of incidents, disasters, security threats, or any event that will cause a disruption to traffic flow and requires their assistance.
• Wichita Area Public Safety Agencies are responsible for providing public safety during disasters (manmade or natural diasters).

Incident Management for Wichita Area
• Wichita Area Public Safety Agencies are reponsible for making the Wichita region aware of incidents, disasters, security threats, or any event that will cause a disruption to traffic flow and requires their assistance.
• Wichita Area Public Safety Agencies are responsible for providing incident information to the traffic management and public safety agencies in the Wichita Area detected by patrol vehicles or motorist call-ins.
• Wichita Area Public Safety Agencies are responsible to be first responders within an overall incident command framework.
