Description

The Wake County EOC is the primary source for Early Warning activations in the Raleigh/Wake portion of the Triangle Region. This service package monitors and detects potential, looming, and actual disasters including natural disasters (hurricanes, floods, winter storms, etc.) and technological and man–made disasters (hazardous materials incidents, nuclear power plant accidents, and acts of terrorism including nuclear, chemical, biological, and radiological weapons attacks). The service package monitors alerting and advisory systems, ITS sensors and surveillance systems, field reports, and emergency call–taking systems to identify emergencies and notifies all responding agencies of detected emergencies.
