Inventory
Each stakeholder agency, company, or group owns, operates, maintains or plans ITS systems in the region. The Regional ITS Architecture inventory is a list of "elements" that represent all existing and planned ITS systems in a region as well as non–ITS systems that provide information to or get information from the ITS systems.

CHEMTREC | CHEMTREC (CHEMical TRansportation Emergency Center) was established by the chemical industry as a public service hotline for fire fighters, law enforcement, and other emergency responders to obtain information and assistance for emergency incidents involving chemicals and hazardous materials. |
Commercial Vehicles | Commercial vehicles include ITS equipment that supports safe and efficient commercial vehicle operations. This equipment monitors vehicle operation, provides the driver and motor carrier real–time information, and supports mainline electronic screening. |

Duke Transit Dispatch Center | Represents the dispatch center for Duke Transit. Duke Transit provides fixed–route transit services throughout the campus and health system. In addition, Duke operates vans that are available for its students and employees to and from campus and Medical Center areas where bus service is not available. |
Duke Transit Vehicles | Represents the transit vehicles, such as buses and vans, and its systems operated by Duke University's Duke Parking and Transportation Services. The systems represented may include the computer–aided dispatch and automatic vehicle location (CAD/AVL) systems, traveler information systems, and security systems. |
Durham CCTV Cameras | Represents Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras operated and maintained by the City of Durham to observe traffic conditions and detect incidents. |
Durham Connected Vehicle Roadside Equipment | Durham's planned Connected Vehicle Roadside Equipment (CV RSE) represents the Connected Vehicle roadside devices that are used to send messages to, and receive messages from, nearby vehicles using Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC) or other alternative wireless communications technologies. Communications with adjacent field equipment and back–office centers that monitor and control the RSE are also supported. This device operates from a fixed position and may be permanently deployed or a portable device that is located temporarily in the vicinity of a traffic incident, road construction, or a special event. It includes a processor, data storage, and communications capabilities that support secure communications with passing vehicles, other field equipment, and centers. |

Durham Parking Facilities | Durham's Parking Management System provides electronic monitoring and management of parking facilities. It supports a link to the Vehicle that allows electronic collection of parking fees and monitors and controls parking meters that support conventional parking fee collection. It also includes the instrumentation, signs, and other infrastructure that monitors parking lot usage and provides local information about parking availability and other general parking information. This portion of the functionality must be located in the parking facility where it can monitor, classify, and share information with customers and their vehicles. It also interfaces with the financial infrastructure and broadly disseminates parking information to other operational centers in the region. Note that the latter functionality may be located in a back–office, remote from the parking facility. |

GoCary Door to Door Vehicles | Represents the demand vehicles, including the systems within the transit vehicle, operated by the GoCary Door to Door service. NC Center for Missing Persons | The N.C. Center for Missing Persons serves as the clearinghouse for information regarding missing children and adults and is charged with issuing AMBER Alerts and Silver Alerts. The Center is part of the Division of Alcohol Law Enforcement, which is a division of the North Carolina Department of Crime Control and Public Safety. |
NC EAS | The North Carolina Emergency Alert System (EAS) was established to provide the citizens of North Carolina advance warning and critical information during times of emergencies. |
NC SEOC | The North Carolina State Operations Center (SEOC) for North Carolina's Division of Emergency Management. Includes a 24–hour communications center.
